I had the pleasure of attending the Practical Conference on Communication (PCOC) 2012 on October 26-27, 2012. Mary Knepper and the conference team put together an incredible conference focused on workshop-style sessions. The interaction level at the event was great and allowed many of us to discuss ideas and explore topics in an engaging way.

I enjoyed sharing Five Dysfunctions of a Team during an early morning session, and we ended the event with several lightning talks, including my Future Technologies Bring Many Opportunities topic. The energy level of the conference team and the large number of students and young technical communicators at this event bodes well for the future of technical communication.
